MUSTANG LUCY ~

Mustang Lucy, a spirited horse from the Sand Wash Basin Herd in Colorado, found her forever home at The Unbridled Heroes Project. She was immediately welcomed and gentled through liberty training and R+ methods by Amy McCambridge.

Lucy is named in honor of Lucy Mae, a brave young girl who courageously battled Ewing's sarcoma. When we adopted this mustang, it was always Lucy Mae's Mustang to name. Lucy Mae's strength and resilience were unmatched, and she fought like a warrior until the very end. Sadly, Lucy Mae passed away just before Mustang Lucy arrived at Unbridled.

In a heartfelt moment, as I sat with Lucy Mae's father, a Marine himself, he asked if we could name the mustang in honor of his daughter. We were deeply moved and honored to fulfill this request. Mustang Lucy now stands as a living tribute to Lucy Mae's incredible courage and spirit. She embodies the strength and determination of the little girl who inspired us all.
